About the book
The handbook Australian recreational and small commercial operators study for the Long Range and Short Range Operator Certificates of Proficiency (the LROCP and SROCP, formerly the MROCP and MROVCP). It covers the VHF and MF/HF marine bands, digital selective calling, the distress, urgency and safety procedures, the GMDSS, EPIRBs and the licence conditions that apply in Australian waters.
It is produced by the Office of Maritime Communications at the Australian Maritime College, part of the University of Tasmania, which runs the certificate examinations on behalf of the Australian Communications and Media Authority. The copy photographed is the 2024 edition, spiral bound and tabbed.
