About the book
The textbook for the Royal Yachting Association's Powerboat Level 1 and Level 2 courses. It covers the types of powerboat and their engines, launching and recovering from a trailer, handling at low and high speed, coming alongside, anchoring, towing, man overboard and the safety kit, with the emphasis throughout on the practical handling that the courses teach on the water.
Paul Glatzel runs a powerboat training school on the south coast of England and has written several of the RYA's powerboat titles.
