About the book
A pilot book, in paper wrappers, published by Imray, Laurie, Norie & Wilson of 156 Minories, London, to be used with the firm's chart of the North Sea: the coasts, harbours, lights, dangers and tidal streams, "compiled from recent surveys". No date is printed. The firm itself was formed in 1899 from the merger of three older chart publishers, so the booklet is later than that; the "Established 1763" on the cover is the founding date of the oldest of them.
