About the book

Tom Cunliffe's one-volume guide to everything the Royal Yachting Association's Yachtmaster exam expects a skipper to know: boat handling under sail and power, seamanship, navigation and pilotage, tides, weather, passage planning and the law of the sea, written in the voice of someone who has examined a great many candidates.

Cunliffe is a Yachtmaster Examiner and one of the best-known sailing writers in Britain. The book has been in print since 1994 and is revised regularly; the copy photographed is the tenth edition.
