Wynnum Creek enters Waterloo Bay at the northern end of the Wynnum foreshore, and the Glenora Street ramp on its north bank is the suburb's launch. Two concrete lanes at a ten per cent grade with toilets and a tap, good water depth at the foot of the ramp, and unmarked parking with room to spare on most days. The state register lists it as usable on all tides. The creek banks give it good cover from wind on the ramp, and it is generally reckoned secure.
The attraction is the run: out of the creek mouth across the Wynnum flats and straight to Mud Island, St Helena Island and the shipping channel, without the Manly harbour traffic. Six knots applies in the creek; the flats either side of the marked channel dry on a low spring. Whiting, flathead and bream on the flats, snapper and squire around St Helena in winter.
Maritime Safety Queensland named it as an alternative while the Whyte Island ramp is rebuilt in 2026. Manly Boat Harbour is a few minutes south. Marine Rescue Queensland Brisbane monitors VHF 16.
