Hilliards Creek winds through the mangroves between Wellington Point and Ormiston to reach the bay south of the point, and this ramp at the end of Bligh Street is its one public launch. It is the least documented ramp in the Redlands: the state register records a single lane and nothing else, with no parking figure, no facilities, and no tide rating, and council's own list does not include it. Treat it as a basic concrete ramp for tinnies, kayaks and crab pots, with parking on the street.
The creek is narrow and dries to mud at low water, and the flats off its mouth are the same shallow banks that make Wellington Point itself a mid-tide launch, so plan on the top half of the tide. Once outside, the water is the sheltered reach between Wellington Point and Cleveland, with Green Island and Peel Island beyond. Bream, flathead and mud crabs are the creek's offerings.
Wellington Point's Main Road ramps, a few minutes away, are the proper alternative. Marine Rescue Queensland Raby Bay monitors VHF 16.
