The William Street precinct on the eastern side of Raby Bay is where the Redlands launches: two public ramps with a floating walkway, a secure ramp for the Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club, the Marine Rescue Queensland Raby Bay ramp and the Redlands Boat Club, all sharing a car park of about 127 bays. The state register lists it as usable on all tides. In 2017 council dredged 43,000 cubic metres from the entrance channel and basin to restore two metres below lowest astronomical tide, at a cost of $2.1 million, after the rescue boat had been touching bottom on low springs, and extended the seawall to shelter the basin from northerlies.
The foreshore between the northern ramp and the rescue wharf is easy to work a boat on. Outside the breakwater the run is straight into the bay past Peel Island, with Toondah Harbour's ferry channel to the south and Wellington Point to the north. Six knots applies in the basin and canals.
Cleveland Point (Shore Street) is the small tide-limited alternative. Marine Rescue Queensland Raby Bay is based here and monitors VHF 16.
