Cleveland Point is the headland at the end of Shore Street, with the timber lighthouse of 1864, the old Grand View Hotel and a foreshore reserve of lawns and picnic tables. The ramp is a single concrete lane on the point with toilets, a tap and eight bays, and it is a pleasant place to launch a small boat, with the caveat the state register attaches: it is tide-limited, and the flats off the point dry out on the low.
Launch and retrieve on the top half. From the point it is a short run across to Peel Island, north to the Wellington Point flats and Green Island, and out into the bay proper, with the channel to Toondah Harbour and the ferry traffic just to the south. Six knots applies off the point and near the moorings.
Raby Bay (William Street) has two lanes, a walkway and the VMR base for anything bigger. Marine Rescue Queensland Raby Bay monitors VHF 16.
