Scarborough Boat Harbour is the state boat harbour at the northern tip of the Redcliffe peninsula, home to the Scarborough Marina and Moreton Bay Boat Club, and it has two public ramps at either end. This is the eastern one on Bird O'Passage Parade: four concrete lanes at a ten per cent grade with a floating walkway, toilets and water, and a car park of about 76 bays. The state register lists it as usable on all tides; the harbour is dredged and the breakwaters keep the ramp flat in any wind.
Outside the entrance the water is the northern bay: Moreton Island's Bulwer and Tangalooma across the Freeman Channel, the Bribie side and Pumicestone Passage to the north-west, and the Redcliffe reefs to the south. The entrance itself can be lumpy on an ebb against a northerly. Six knots applies throughout the harbour. Transport and Main Roads' 2024 draft master plan for the harbour keeps and enhances the public ramp and trailer parking.
The western ramp on Thurecht Parade has three lanes and 120 bays. Marine Rescue Queensland Redcliffe is based at the harbour and monitors VHF 16.
