Beachmere sits on the north bank of the Caboolture River where it meets Deception Bay, and the end of Saint Smith Road holds two state-owned ramps and a floating walkway. The upstream ramp is the two-lane one with the walkway, toilets and a tap and a shared car park of about 28 rigs; the state register lists it as usable on all tides. Maritime Safety Queensland fully closed the downstream ramp for reconstruction from late 2025, with completion expected in March 2026, leaving the upstream ramp open throughout.
The river here is wide, sheltered and tidal, with mud banks at the edges on a low spring and a short run downstream to the mouth and Deception Bay. Upstream it winds past Burpengary's Uhlmann Road ramp towards Caboolture. Six knots applies near the ramps and moorings. Bream, flathead, whiting and mud crabs in the river; the bay outside is shallow for a long way.
Uhlmann Road is the next ramp upriver; Toorbul and Donnybrook are the Pumicestone Passage launches to the north. Marine Rescue Queensland Bribie Island monitors VHF 16.
