Woody Point is the southern tip of the Redcliffe peninsula, and the ramp at the end of Oxley Avenue sits on the Bramble Bay side beside the sailing club, looking across to the Hornibrook bridges. The state register records three lanes at a ten per cent grade, toilets, a tap and about 13 bays, with a three-tonne load limit rather than the usual five, and flags it as tide-limited; local guides describe it as a two-lane ramp accessible on the upper tide with lighting and a picnic area. Either way the flats off Woody Point dry on the low, so work the top half.
It is a handy launch for Bramble Bay and the Pine River mouth, and the sheltered side of the peninsula when the easterly is up. Six knots applies near the sailing club, the jetty and the bridges. Flathead and whiting on the flats, bream around the jetty.
Clontarf's Pelican Park ramp (four lanes, 60 bays) is a few minutes west; Scarborough's harbour ramps are all-tide. Marine Rescue Queensland Redcliffe monitors VHF 16.
