Federation Drive runs down to the Logan River on the Bethania side, upstream of Waterford, and the ramp is a single concrete lane at a ten per cent grade with a tap and four bays. It is the smallest of the Logan City ramps and a local's launch: tinnies, kayaks and canoes rather than trailer boats of any size. The state register lists it as usable on all tides, though this far up the Logan the river is more about flow than tide, as it runs hard and brown after rain and carries timber for days.
The reach is sheltered, winding and quiet, with bass and jack in the snags upstream and bream and flathead below, and ski zones marked on the wider bends. Six knots applies near the ramp and the bridges. Logan Reserve and Waterford are the next ramps up and down the river respectively; Eagleby is the first with real parking.
