Tansey Park is a small council park on the Logan at Tanah Merah, on the northern bank between the Waterford and Carbrook ramps. The ramp is a single concrete lane at a nine per cent grade with about seven bays and no toilets or water. The state register lists it as usable on all tides; the river is deep in its channel here, though muddy at the edges on a low spring.

It is a tinnie ramp on sheltered water. The Logan here is wide enough for ski boats on the marked reaches and quiet enough for a kayak on a weekday, with bream, flathead, jack and threadfin salmon along the banks and mud crabs in the side creeks. Downstream it is about 15 km to the river mouth and the bay; upstream the river narrows past Waterford and Bethania. Six knots applies near the ramp and the bridges.

Skinners Park at Carbrook, a few minutes east, has toilets and 12 bays. Marine Rescue Queensland Jacobs Well covers the lower river on VHF 16.
