Uhlmann Road runs north from Burpengary East to the Caboolture River, and the ramp at its end is the river's middle launch, a few kilometres upstream of Beachmere. The state register records two concrete lanes at a ten per cent grade, a car park of about 21 bays and a tap; the council facility plan adds a floating walkway. The register lists it as usable on all tides, and the river is deep in its channel here. The recorded ten-tonne load limit is a state-register value that reads as a typo for the standard five.
The Caboolture is a quiet, winding, mangrove-lined river with bream, flathead, jack and mud crabs, and a run of about 10 km downstream past Beachmere to Deception Bay. Ski areas are marked on the wider reaches; six knots applies near the ramp and moorings. After heavy rain the river runs brown and carries debris.
Beachmere (Saint Smith Road) has two ramps, toilets and the walkway near the mouth. Marine Rescue Queensland Bribie Island monitors VHF 16.
