Follow Freeman Road to its end and you reach Moffatt Esplanade on the north bank of Ningi Creek, the tidal creek that enters the Pumicestone Passage south of Toorbul. The ramp is a single concrete lane with toilets, a tap and lighting, and parking on the unmarked ground. The state register flags it as tide-limited and local guides say the same: access is restricted at low tide, when the creek and its mouth drain to mud.
It is a creek ramp for tinnies, crab pots and kayaks (mud crabs, bream and flathead in the mangroves), with the Passage a short run out on the tide and Bribie Island across the channel. The southern Passage is shallow and banked and the go-slow zones for dugong apply.
Toorbul's Esplanade ramps (First Avenue and Freeman Road) are the bigger launches a few minutes away. Marine Rescue Queensland Bribie Island monitors VHF 16.
