Winders Park sits on the south bank of Currumbin Creek a short way in from the creek mouth, on the Currumbin side. The ramp is a single lane with a pontoon and sandy beach on both sides, and the park around it is well equipped: fish cleaning, barbecues, showers and a kitchen with boiling water. Parking is the catch: fewer than ten spaces, unmarked, and gone early on a weekend.
The register lists the ramp as usable on all tides, but the creek entrance is sand and the local advice is to launch on the upper half of the tide. The bar at the creek mouth is only crossed in good conditions; most people who launch here stay in the creek, which fishes for bream, flathead, jack, trevally and whiting up to the rock walls at Currumbin Waters. Personal watercraft use the creek heavily.
Across the creek, Thrower Drive at Palm Beach has two lanes and about 45 bays and is the better launch for anything bigger. Marine Rescue Queensland Currumbin monitors VHF 16.
