Golden Beach is the Caloundra suburb on the Pumicestone Passage shore, and Woorim Park at Churchill Street holds its biggest ramp: four concrete lanes at a ten per cent grade onto the Pumicestone Channel, with toilets, a tap and a foreshore park. The state register lists it as usable on all tides, as the channel runs close to the bank here, but only about 16 marked bays, so on a weekend the trailers spread along the streets. Caloundra Jet Ski and the local BoatSafe licence school both work from this ramp.
The water is the northern Passage: sheltered, sandy and shallow away from the channel, with the Bribie shore across the water and the Caloundra bar to the north-east. The 2022 breakthrough at the top of Bribie changed the channels and the bar; use current charts. Six knots applies along the Golden Beach foreshore and near swimmers.
