The Military Jetty is the old timber jetty on the Passage at the southern end of Golden Beach, built for the wartime training camp and now a fishing and sunset spot on the coastal pathway. Keith Hill Park runs from the jetty south to Bells Creek, and this ramp sits at the jetty end: a single concrete lane at a steep 12 per cent grade with a pontoon, toilets and a tap, about eight bays and a three-tonne load limit. The state register lists it as usable on all tides.
Local guides describe the Military Jetty ramps as very open to the elements, and they are: the wind and chop come straight across the Passage from Bribie. It suits tinnies and small boats on calm days; the pontoon helps. The water is the same as Bells Creek's: the shallow northern Passage, the reshaped channels near the Bribie breakthrough, and the bar to the north. Six knots applies near the jetty and swimmers.
Bells Creek (June Street), at the other end of the park, has three lanes and 25 bays. Marine Rescue Queensland Caloundra monitors VHF 16.
