Leach Park is the foreshore park at the northern end of Golden Beach, towards Caloundra, and the Short Street ramp runs off it onto the Passage. Two concrete lanes with a tap and unmarked parking on the park's edge; the council facility plan describes the site as a boat ramp and floating walkway. The state register flags it as tide-limited, and the sand banks in front of the park dry on a spring low, so it is a top-half launch for anything with draught.
It is the quieter option when Churchill Street's four lanes are busy, and the same water: the northern Pumicestone Passage, sheltered but shallow, with Bribie across the channel and the Caloundra bar a couple of kilometres north-east. Six knots applies along the foreshore. Flathead, whiting and bream on the banks; the yabby flats are close.
