Richardson Park is a riverside reserve at Goodna, on the Ipswich side of the Brisbane River between the Moggill ferry and the Bremer junction. The ramp is a single concrete lane at an eight per cent grade, with parking on the road for about four rigs and no toilets or water. The state register lists it as usable on all tides, and the river is deep here, so the constraint is the current and debris after rain rather than the tide.
It is a tinnie and kayak launch onto the middle Brisbane: a sheltered reach with bass, jack and the odd bream upstream towards the Bremer and the Karana Downs ramps, and the long winding run downstream past Moggill and Fig Tree Pocket to the city. Six knots applies near the ferry and the moorings. The river rises fast and runs hard after heavy rain in the catchment; check the Bureau's river heights.
Karalee and Karana Downs upstream, and Fig Tree Pocket downstream, are the neighbouring ramps. No marine rescue cover on this reach; emergency is 000.
