Loders Creek enters the Broadwater at the southern end of Labrador, and the ramp is just inside its mouth on the north bank. Being in the creek rather than on the open shore, it is protected from the wind and chop that make the Broadwater ramps uncomfortable on a south-easterly, and it has two lanes, toilets, a tap and a fish-wash station. There is no jetty or walkway, so someone has to hold the boat on the beach.
Twenty bays is not many for a ramp this close to Southport, and the reviewers' advice is to come during the week; weekends it fills. The state register lists it as usable on all tides. From the creek mouth it is a short run across to the Spit, the Seaway and Wave Break Island, with six-knot zones along the Labrador foreshore and around the moorings.
Harley Park (Marine Parade and Broad Street) is the two-lane ramp with a pontoon and 62 bays a little further north, and the Broadwater Parklands four-lane ramp is to the south. Marine Rescue Queensland Southport is based at the Seaway and monitors VHF 16 and 73.
