Broadwater Parklands has two public ramps. This is the southern one, at Anzac Park beside the Aquatic Centre near Welch Street: three concrete lanes at a ten per cent grade with toilets and a tap and about 29 bays. There is no floating walkway, and the state register flags it as tide-limited, as the sand flats off Southport dry a long way out on a spring low, and the channel to the Sundale Bridge and the Seaway is not deep here.
For most trailer boats the Parklands' northern ramp (listed as North Street) is the better bet: four lanes, three floating walkways, a landing pontoon and parking for about 90. This one earns its keep as the overflow, and for smaller boats that can live with the tide.
The water is the southern Broadwater, with six-knot zones along the Parklands foreshore, around the moorings and under the bridge, and the Seaway about 3 km north-east. The Parklands themselves have cafés, playgrounds and the Southport light rail stop. Marine Rescue Queensland Southport monitors VHF 16 and 73.
