Built as Stage 3 of the Broadwater Parklands redevelopment, this is the ramp the reviewers rate ten out of ten. Two double-width launching bays with floating walkways on all sides, a separate 30 m jetty with a 6 m wide landing pontoon for loading and unloading, toilets and a tap, and a car park of about 90 rigs with direct access from the M1 via Smith Street. The state register lists it as usable on all tides.

In May–July 2025 Gold Coast Waterways Authority spent $800,000 replacing the three floating walkways, which had developed a list, and the cracked upper slabs of the ramp, so the surfaces are new. Even with 90 bays it fills on a calm weekend; the alternatives GCWA listed are Harley Park and Loders Creek at Labrador, Ray Street and Howard Street at Runaway Bay, the Spit ramps and Proud Park.

From the ramp the Broadwater runs out past Wave Break Island to the Seaway, about 3 km, with six-knot zones along the Parklands foreshore and around the moorings. The Seaway bar demands respect on an ebb against easterly swell; Marine Rescue Queensland Southport, based at the Seaway, monitors VHF 16 and 73.
