Paradise Point's ramp sits inside the small boat harbour at the end of Donald Avenue, where the Coomera River meets the Broadwater. It is three lanes at a subtle eight per cent grade with a floating walkway running the length of the ramp, a sandy beach beside it, toilets and a tap, and 46 bays in a precinct with a chandlery and cafés a short walk away. The water inside the harbour is flat, which makes it the easiest ramp on the northern Broadwater to launch alone.
The state register lists it as usable on all tides. From the harbour the Broadwater opens straight ahead, with Sovereign Islands and the Coomera mouth to the north, the run to Jumpinpin and South Stradbroke beyond, and six-knot zones through the harbour and around the moorings. It is a popular launch for jet skis and small boats and gets busy on fine weekends.
Jabiru Island (Oxley Drive) and Turana Street on Coombabah Creek are the nearby alternatives. Marine Rescue Queensland Southport monitors VHF 16 and 73.
