Turana Street runs down to Hollywell Park on the southern bank of Coombabah Creek, between Paradise Point and Hollywell. The ramp is a single lane at a ten per cent grade with a fixed jetty beside it, about 13 bays and no facilities at all. The shoreline is mangrove and mud rather than beach, so the jetty is the only place to hold a boat, and the ramp is best used by one vessel at a time.
It is quiet, which is the point. The creek gives good protection depending on the wind direction, and the state register lists the ramp as usable on all tides. Downstream the creek reaches the Coomera mouth and the Broadwater; upstream it winds into the Coombabah wetlands. Six-knot zones apply near the canals and moorings.
The harbour ramp at Paradise Point (three lanes, floating walkway, toilets) is a few minutes away for anything the single lane and jetty will not handle. Marine Rescue Queensland Southport monitors VHF 16 and 73.
