Cabbage Tree Creek is the tidal creek behind Shorncliffe and Sandgate that holds the Cabbage Tree Creek Boat Harbour, and the Jetty Street ramp is the smaller of the two public ramps on its north bank, a little upstream of the harbour. Two concrete lanes at an eight per cent grade with a pontoon, toilets and a tap, and a car park of just six bays. The state register lists it as usable on all tides; the creek is dredged for the harbour and the trawler fleet.
It suits small boats and quiet days. From the ramp the creek runs a short way to its mouth on Bramble Bay, with the Sandgate foreshore and Shorncliffe pier to the north, the Pine River mouth and Redcliffe beyond, and the northern bay to the east. Six knots applies throughout the creek and harbour; the trawlers and the sailing club use the same water.
Sinbad Street, a few hundred metres downstream, has four lanes and about 170 bays. Marine Rescue Queensland Brisbane monitors VHF 16.
