Riverside Lands Park is the strip of parkland on the South Brisbane bank between the Go Between and William Jolly bridges, and its ramp is the only public trailer launch in the inner city. Council describes it as a double boat ramp with a single pontoon; the state register lists two lanes, 15 bays and no facilities, and rates it usable on all tides. It is a river hub on council's list, which brings kayaks, dragon boats and rowers to the same pontoon.
The reach is the busiest water in Queensland: CityCats and ferries, the Kookaburra Queens, rowing eights and the tour boats, with six knots and no-wash rules through the whole city stretch and near every terminal and bridge. Downstream the river passes the CBD, New Farm and Hamilton to the port; upstream it winds past the University to Indooroopilly. Bream, jew and threadfin salmon are caught around the bridge pylons at night.
Colmslie is the nearest ramp with more parking and a walkway. Marine Rescue Queensland Brisbane monitors VHF 16.
