Wyaralong Dam was completed in 2011 across Teviot Brook west of Beaudesert as a drought-response water supply for the Scenic Rim, and its lake is open for recreation under Seqwater's rules. The only launch is the ramp at the Meebun day-use area on the Beaudesert–Boonah Road: a single concrete lane with about five bays, toilets, and a picnic ground with shelters, barbecues and a playground. The area is served by tank water only, so bring what you need to drink.
Electric-powered craft, sailing craft and paddle craft are permitted on the lake; petrol motors are not, and boats may only be launched from this designated point to protect the shoreline. Fishing needs a Stocked Impoundment Permit, with bass and golden perch the targets among the drowned timber. The lake is also the base for rowing, stand-up paddling, kayaking, mountain biking and horse trails.
