Weinam Creek is the mainland terminal for the island ferries and barges, and its boat ramp has always doubled as the islands' commuter car park, which is why it is the busiest ramp in the Redlands. Redland Investment Corporation and council opened a new public ramp here on 7 November 2024 as part of the Weinam Creek Priority Development Area: three dedicated launching bays, a pontoon designed for queuing, a rock seawall, and 40 new 72-hour trailer spaces linking to the Moores Road car park. The original four-lane Banana Street ramp, which the state register still describes, was kept but handed over to the Redland Bay Coast Guard and other first responders.
The state register lists the facility as usable on all tides; the creek is dredged for the ferries. Outside it the water is the sheltered passage to Karragarra, Macleay and Russell islands, with Coochiemudlo to the north and the Logan mouth and Jumpinpin to the south, all across flats that dry on the low. Six knots applies in the creek and around the terminal, and the ferries and barges have right of way in practice.
A further council–state ramp at Wallaby Road, southern Redland Bay ($5.9 million, 44 trailer bays, near all-tide) is under construction for late 2026. Marine Rescue Queensland Victoria Point monitors VHF 16.
